I have tasted many Bordeaux 2016, and definitely am impressed with the quality of this vintage. Thus, knowing 2016 character, I boldly decanted this wine for 3 hours, and the patience paid off! A whiff and the bouquet was already expressing “drink me” with elegant fruits. A sip and I was impressed, as this content really reminded me of 2009 vintage, a very fruit bomb vintage and undetectable tannins, don’t get me wrong, there are loads of tannins, just that the very structured and fruity taste covered up the tannins. Great finesse too! (2/2019)
