YOUTHFUL - Both 70s vintages in this vertical tasting have been nothing but spectacular. From the start, you can already tell it has stronger and riper fruits than the 80. Loads of plum, sweet smelling black fruits, smoky vanilla and spice. Palate had lighter juicy fruits, great balance of acidity and firm tannins. Would have thought this wine to be younger than it is!
