Domaine Peyre Rose is located in Saint-Pargoire, between Béziers and Montpellier in the Languedoc region. It belongs to the well-known winegrower Marlène Soria. Although coming from a family of winegrowers in the region, she had started her career in real estate before entering wine. In 1973, she bought the Peyre Rose estate as a second home with her husband, but following the real estate crisis, she decided to stay there full time and spent three years clearing the land before planting her first vines in 1982. Despite the difficulties, Marlène Soria vinified for the first time in 1988. It was a success but she encountered some problems, in particular the pollution of her winery in which she had invested a lot. Anxious to market wines of impeccable quality, she gave up three vintages. Passionate about nature and ecologically oriented, Marlène Soria cultivates her 25 hectares of vines and produces organically grown wines.

Oro is Marlène Soria's golden wine, named after a Polynesian god in homage to her son whom she adopted in Tahiti. It is a blend of Rolle (70%), Roussanne (25%) and Viognier (5%). This dry white is aged for more than 10 years, in vats and in casks, with refining in the bottle

A great white cru of the south, a wine with immense density and a texture rich in tannins, a wine that, at 14.5 %, falls outside the usual white wine framework, but one does not hold that against it; for the Oro stands outside the usual categories. The wine defines itself almost exclusively through the mouthfeel, which is then demanding and plays with textures. Despite all its force, it is fresh and salty, and that with increasing time and air that you give it.
