Allen Meadows Burghound - 92 Points
Moderate but not really invasive wood sets off the red and blue pinot fruit, earth and discreet sauvage whiffs. The exceptionally rich and seductively textured medium-bodied flavors are generous and relatively forward with plenty of sappy dry extract buffering the fairly firm and refreshing finish. Like Ruchots often is, this should be approachable after only a few years of bottle age yet reward up to a decade of cellaring. (8/2020)
