Wine With Bok - 9.25/10 Stars
Les Greves in Beaune is considered one of the best terroir in the commune. The central section of Les Greves is a very famous plot known as Vigne d’Enfant Jesus, owned exclusively by Bouchard, produced the stunning Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus wine, a very structural and long aging potential wine. Aegerter Les Greves did not disappoint, and a solid representative of a great burgundy vintage of 2018. Bouquet of very ripe and forward fruit, almost stewed fruits, with abundance of oak backing up the aromas. The content is very seductive with ripe and forward fruits, reminded me of Aegerter Belissand 1er Cru 2015 that got me hooked to Aegerter’s winemaking skill. There are massive tannins right behind the silky ripe fruits, just that it was well masked and doesn’t reveal itself easily, this is also the stunning beauty of a great vintage of 2018. I can assure you this wine can age for a couple of decades effortlessly. (4/2021)

This wine is shy on the nose but glimpses of crunchy black cherry flash up. The light palate delivers on that crispness with bright red and dark cherry notes, accompanied by the fresh fragrance of conifer. Freshness pervades while subtle tannins have gentle crunch. (1/2020)
