This estate, touching Pauillac, belongs to the Bernard family, also owners of Domaine de Chevalier. Rich tannins and wood aging have given intense spice to this wine that is bold, rich and concentrated. The vivid, ripe black fruits will calm down as the wine ages further, giving a balanced, smooth blend. (4/2021)

The 2018 Peyrabon has a very agreeable bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and briary aromas, the oak nicely integrated and feeling natural. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and crunchy red fruit tinged with cedar and pine. It is a bit 'chunky' on the finish, but I admire the freshness and substance, and the oak is judiciously used. Good winemaking, good wine. (11/2019)
