Kientzler family has been growing vines for more than 5 generations in Alsace, thus to claim that they have mastered the art of winemaking is perhaps an understatement. Riesling production is probably the most basic and fundamental to them. Their Riesling has the obvious character of a typical Riesling of petrol and natural gas bouquet. Content was relatively simple, again possessing typical characters of Riesling albeit simplified way; slightly unbalanced fruit and acidity, with slight minerality coupled with citrus notes. Probably a very straight forward and honest wine without any makeup. (8/2022)
