Wine With Bok - 9.5/10 Stars
This is probably one of my favorite plots in Chassagne-Montrachet. Philippe Colin inherited 0.5 acre of En Remilly vineyard from his father in 2016, imagine the location of En Remilly lies just above Le Montrachet and bordering Chevalier Montrachet? Production is extremely miniscule as well, yearly production is probably around 900 bottles for a blessed weather, as such, you can imagine the rarity of these bottles. A whiff and I enjoyed the bouquet; ocean breeze, white peach, along with jasmine aroma showing a huge potential of complexity. A sip and I was impressed with the sophistication of the body; there’s so much going on in the content with various elements. Predominantly, it has huge amount of energy, a searing but non-interfering acidity, and plenty of flesh on the wine content. This wine will definitely improve in a decades’ time. Treasure the wine! Allen Meadows Burghound - 94 Points
Pungent aromas of oak and reduction give way to notably sleeker middle weight flavors that are also more mineral-driven on the chiseled, citrus-inflected and youthfully austere finale that displays first-rate persistence. This also possesses a really lovely, even sophisticated, texture and is a very promising candidate to reward up to a decade of cellaring. One to strong consider. *Burghound Outstanding!* (6/2022)
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy - 94 Points
Pretty pale lemon and lime colour. A bouquet of distinction even if still largely closed. Five barrels, two new, so one of the oakier wines, but it can take it. Huge energy in the mouth, a racy acidity, plenty of flesh, not too much and no excessive heat. Very successful!. (10/2021)
