"Old Ballantruan" Speyside Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky is only one of a handful of peated malt whiskies from the Speyside region. After 'sleeping' for 10 years in hand-picked oak barrels, this whisky has been bottled at 50% volume and without any chill-filtration to retain its layered and integrated peaty flavours. This rich gold superb peated malt whisky has a nose of gently spicy with smokey “peat-reek” deliciously balanced by a sweeter creamy core with some gentle peaty smokiness equipoised with a sweet, creamy, malty backbone on the palate and climbing finish of sweetness gradually replaced with smoky depth at the end.
