Wine With Bok - 9.75 Stars
I have drank a bottle of this wine with ex-chateau provenance 6 years ago, it was amazing and totally memorable. Tonight’s bottle was just as great as the ex-chateau bottle I drank, probably due to the provenance of this batch, do take note when Fine Wines sources for aged wines, provenance is the utmost priority. Upon pouring the first glass, I was head over heel with the wine, totally mesmerizing! Bouquet of deep and totally out of the world fragrance. A sip and I’ll probably declare this wine as the wine that I will drink before I die. The kind of gentle sweetness is probably more attractive than the sweetest girl next door I’ve ever come across. I must confess an aged Syrah is very similar to an aged red burgundy, ultra seductive and absolutely unforgettable. The only reason I did not give a perfect 10/10 stars is because I detected some dryness in the wine, perhaps a sign of downhill, but the fading of the wine only came 2 hours later (I did not decant the wine), along with slightly tired peppermint showing up, I know it has reached it’s end of life. The first 30 mins is key, truly an enjoyable wine! (7/2023)
