MALE CHAUVINIST?
Pichon Baron, as opposed to the feminine Pichon Lalande, is the male chauvinist of the siblings. Power, huge vanilla, coupled with dark cherry fruits dominated the nose. I decanted it for an hour, and thoroughly enjoyed the wine; deep, dark fruits, loads of cherries, layered, complex, it's like a really gentle gentleman caressing my palette, absolutely first growth standard. Fabulous! 95 is totally undervalued! I didn't expect it to be so drinkable! (3/2015)
