A table wine from Veneto of Italy, which is the territory for producer Monte Zovo, as they have been producing wines here for multiple generations. This wine uses same grapes as Valpolicella, mainly Corvina Veronese, Rondinella and Molinara. This wine is fresh, lively and vibrant. I enjoyed the red fruits and a subtle herbal tone. I had some cheese with this wine tonight which is a so-so pairing, I believed it goes extremely well with pizza given its youthful character.

Aromas of violets leap out the glass from the moment of the first pour. The juicy and fruit-forward wine has a superb mix of black plum and black tea. The palate is plush and soft, with the wine leaning into its rich fruit. Luckily, the fruit has a quick pop of acidity to make the wine lip-smacking good. (12/2022)
