2018 Orin Swift Mannequin Chardonnay
Mannequin is a Chardonnay full of body, pun very much intended. It's a regional representation of the sunny richness of Californian Chardonnay with fruit sourced from across Sonoma and the Monterey Peninsula. It's bright and vibrant with citrus and grapefruit fruit flavours underpinned by toast, vanilla cream, oatmeal and fresh yoghurt.. The power and richness is somewhat delayed to the back palate. Some nutty grip highlights a long, heady finish. The Mannequin name was inspired by a Nicky Minaj lyric. Despite this, it's a boisterously enjoyable wine.

One-hundred percent barrel fermented and aged for eight months in French oak barrels (32% new), the 2018 Chardonnay Mannequin offers spiced apples and poached pears notions with nuances of baking bread, toasted almonds and honeycomb. Full-bodied, the palate reveals expressive apple and pears flavors with a satiny texture and plenty of baking spices coming through on the finish. 13,701 cases were made.
