NV Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Brut - 750ml
Ruinart, the inaugural Champagne House established in 1729, stands as an indispensable landmark in the world of champagne. Its inception traces back to the forward-thinking monk, Dom Thierry Ruinart. Nestled in the heart of Reims, the Ruinart House safeguards a treasure trove. These unique chalk quarries, boasting historical significance and architectural marvels, have been deemed a historic site since 1931 and gained UNESCO World Heritage status in 2015. Situated nearly 40 meters beneath the surface, within the cavernous, cool confines akin to a cathedral, the prized bottles patiently await their moment in the spotlight. Elegance, sophistication, and enduring allure encapsulate the essence of Ruinart Champagne House, a revered emblem of French savoir-faire celebrated worldwide.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs includes some 25–30 different chardonnay crus, predominantly from the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, the Sézannais and La Vallée de la Vesle. They reflect the rich diversity of the Champagne terroir. This blanc de blancs (100% Chardonnay) is sourced mostly from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, including a portion of premier cru vineyards. It has a lean, lemon and apple bite backed up by some smooth creaminess. It's fuller in body than stablemate Veuve Clicquot, displaying good acidity and power.
