1985 Chateau Figeac Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe
PARKER'S DISLIKED LABEL As you can see, Parker awarded this vintage with an 86, but my experience (with a few other wine connoisseurs) totally disagreed with the score. It deserved a much better rating. Well, Parker was known to dislike Figeac, for whatever reason beyond me. Nose of heavy vanilla, rich albeit slightly vegetal. Palette was rich, lush and very enjoyable. Slightly green, probably due to the Cabernet Franc.
