John Gilman - 96 Points
The Montrachet is every bit as good as the Chevalier, and perhaps even a bit better. It is a brilliant wine, as it soars from the glass in a mélange of apple, pear, tangerine, lovely minerality, almond paste, honeycomb and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and refined, with stunning elegance, great focus and purity, and a very long, complex and racy finish. Magnificent stuff in the making. (3/2006)

A fine wine that offers power, generosity and also a chalky, mineral character. No wonder Montrachet is seen as the greatest grand cru—it has structure, concentration, delicious fruit and layers of complexity. (12/2006)
