Wine With Bok - 9/10 Stars
2009 is a classic Bordeaux vintage, if the vineyard could not produce decent quality wine in a good vintage like 2009, then I’ll permanently write off the vineyard. One could not make such a mistake when mother nature gifted you with great weather and great terroir. It does not matter whether one is a classified growth or unclassified growth, as it’s impossible to make poor wines on a gifted vintage. Cissac did not disappoint, as they have taken full advantage of the terroir and made wine that is very characteristic of 2009, which is big and fruity along with great tannins providing the backbone of the wine. The fruity style of the wine is almost pointing towards a bus load of blueberries, rather uniform type of fruit style, but immensely chunky. (7/2022)
