Wine By Bok - 9/10 Stars
I didn’t have time to decant the wine for tonight’s dinner, thus simply popped and poured with not much expectation, except that it came from a great Bordeaux vintage of 2010. I found a very similar character amongst the bouquet and the content: very Italian dried grapes alike, the closest match to my description was probably Amarone della Valpolicella. The beauty of this Cru Bourgeois was that, it actually improved in the glass over time. I observed that it started glowing in fruit intensity after about 30 mins in the glass, not in an explosive way but in a step-by-step approach. Guess the evolution was a great vintage in play. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 90 Points
The Cissac has a well-defined, delineated bouquet with blackberry, briary, crushed stone and tobacco notes. It is well balanced with graphite-infused black fruit, a touch of tobacco and impressive precision and length towards the finish. Very fine.(9/2012)
