A taut, nervy, mineral-driven wine, this has intense citrus and grapefruit flavors, lemon grass spice and just the merest hint of wood. It’s the structure that gives this impressive wine such power, and a steely edge that will need at least 6–10 years. (8/2013)
Int'l Wine Cellar - 93 points
Pure, cool aromas of citrus fruits and crushed stone complicated by a leesy quality. Spicy, smoky and tight, in fact almost rigid today owing to its rocky minerality. Very fine-grained and very 2010 in style. Finishes firm, subtle and long. (9/2012)
Burghound - 92 points
**Outstanding** An impressively layered nose features floral, pear, white peach and lemon rind scents where the latter element can also be found on the notably rich but also well-detailed and vibrant flavors that enjoy a seductive texture thanks to the abundant dry extract. This is solidly persistent and immaculately well-balanced. (6/2012)
