Wine With Bok - 9.25/10 Stars

Gigondas is an appellation in the southern Rhone, and widely considered the younger brother of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, the wine produced in this region is prestigious and can age well. Mont-Redon is a large wine producer in Rhone, and obviously this wine is considered a great wine production coming from a well known winemaker. A very lively aroma hit the nose upon a whiff, highly perfumed with strawberries, plum and raspberry. The content is like a young athletic, full of energy. Very lively and very engaging, it has high level of ripe tannins and bright acidity as well. Most Rhone are produced with high alcoholic content, this one is of no exception of 15%. (07/24)

Indulge in the exquisite flavors of our first vintage Gigondas by Pierre Fabre and his expert team at Mont-Redon. Crafted with precision, this wine features a blend of 85% Grenache, 9% Syrah, and 6% Mourvèdre, sourced from 70+ year-old vines in two exceptional northern appellation sites. Notre-Dame-des-Pallières, a south-facing vineyard at 200m, and Pallière et Pied-Gu, a north-facing site at 300m, contribute equally to this elegant blend.

Notre-Dame-des-Pallières grapes are fully de-stemmed, while those from Pallière et Pied-Gu are fermented as whole bunches. Each parcel undergoes a 25-day skin contact period, followed by malo-lactic fermentation in tanks. Then, 60% of each parcel is aged in 228L barriques for 16 months before blending and bottling.

This Gigondas vintage offers an aromatic bouquet of garrigue and spice, leading to a luscious palate of red forest berries. The fine, silky tannins and long, clean finish with refreshing acidity make it remarkably enjoyable now, with the potential to cellar for a decade or more. Experience the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation with every sip.
