2022 Tinus Plateau de l'Aigle Viognier - 750ml
In 2007, Jean-Marie and Maine Guffens acquired Château des Tourettes in the Lubéron, located in the Alpes-de-Haute Provence region. They were drawn not only to the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings but also to the immense potential offered by the vineyards here. Despite the warmth, the vineyards benefit from their elevated position, situated between 400 and 500 meters above sea level, which provides much-needed cooling. The soil quality is exceptional, with significant areas composed of limestone. Similar to Domaine Guffens-Heynen, their approach is centered around attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality. In recent years, Guffens has also been personally involved in the day-to-day operations of the estate, leading to a continuous improvement in quality.
The Plateau de l'Aigle is situated at an altitude of over 400 meters, imparting freshness and balance to the Viognier grapes. Aging in barriques adds extra structure and complexity to the wine. Expect roasted nuts, peach skin, and a rich texture. It offers subtlety and freshness with juicy flavors and a lingering finish.
