Juyondai Ginsen Ginjou 十四代 吟撰 吟醸 - 1800ml
This sake is made from the King of Sakamai, Yamadanishiki, It has a a mild fruity nose (for a juyondai), and a sweet rice flavour. Polished to 50%, it can technically be called a Daiginjo, but the brewery decided to just call it a Ginjo Sake. The refreshing and comfortable fruit aroma reminiscent of melon, the mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing, while the aftertaste is slightly sweet, which is a summer-only Ginjo. Most of the sake line up from Juyondai is sweet, and it is rare to have such a light and dry one. Over time, the sweetness, bitterness, and sourness in the mouth appear in sequence, and you can enjoy the change in taste.
