From the first sip, Spiritum 96 displayed boldness, robust character, and vibrant fruitiness that easily overshadowed the Louis Roederer. The richness of Spiritum’s fruity notes was overwhelming, showcasing a power and intensity unmatched by the 2014 vintage.

Pitted against the NV Saint Reol Grand Cru Brut Rosé, the Spiritum 96 emerges as the undisputed champion, beating its competitor flat, with no contest. The bouquet opens with alluring aromas of wild strawberries, rose petals, and hints of brioche. On the palate, a lively effervescence carries flavors of fresh raspberries, blood orange, and subtle spice, all wrapped in a creamy texture. The finish is long and elegant, with a mineral driven backbone that underscores its Grand Cru origins.

Winemaker Notes:
Spiritum blends the essence of a great Vintage with the freshness of a vibrant Rosé. It took months and countless trials to find the perfect balance for this liqueur, prepared with a 1996 Grand Cru Vintage from our Bouzy vineyards. A very low concentration, half that of a classic liqueur — 300 grams per liter instead of the 600 grams per liter usual in Champagne — meant that a higher proportion of the Vintage could be added to the finished rosé. Spiritum is a magic show for the senses, with the liqueur as the wand that sparks this alchemy, combining the freshness of the rosé wine with the essence of one of the greatest vintages of the last century
