1945 Baron Philippe de Rothschild
Look at this 1945 wine that was kept in STRAWS! I opened it from an original wooden case, was shocked! Well, 69 years ago that's how they kept the bottle from knocking each other! This wine has a lot of life! Smokey initially and opens up gradually. Palette was strong, sweet, chewy (almost can chew the fruits), and extremely tight! It really took its time to open up in the glass. Amazing life ahead still! I will keep this until it is 100 years old!
