1946 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Le Haut Lieu
Unbelievable! I uncorked this bottle myself, was expecting difficulty but the cork came out so new! Wonder if the wine was just released? The nose was very muted, fresh and slightly smokey. The palette hit me really hard, initially sour and sour pineapple, thereafter it was green apple throughout. Very sharp, very acidic and bone dry style. It's not the wine I can tolerate very well but for its aging capability that's why I awarded 4 stars.
