1949 Huguenin Pere & Fils Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
OLDEST CORTON CHARLEMAGNE
This 1949 was definitely the oldest Corton Charlemagne I've ever had. I repeat again, Corton Charlemagne aged at a glacier speed, so please kill the myth that white burgundies cannot age, as proven with this bottle, still alive & kicking!
Wonderful nose of apricot and later toffee. Relatively high on acidity, very intense, melts and dissolve quickly, definitive tertiary flavor with dry straws. This was a perfect bottle. A truly unique a experience!
