1954 Vina Real Reserva Especial
Served blind. Some were yelling Barolo, but I was firmly in the Spanish camp, but I don't drink enough to know the regions well. Very minty nose, and palette was really interesting with elegance, a load of those deep, dark and dense chocolate and coffee dense fruits. I was guessing '60s, obviously shock to find it to be a 54! I swear Spanish wines aged a lot better than Bordeaux wines, totally age capable! Amazing! Let me explore a few more of these gems.
