1957 Chateau Latour Pauillac
Some audiences here didn't believe me too much that I drank all these top wines. It's ok, proof is in the pudding, I will slowly dig out some old photos to post here. This is a Latour vertical, a 6 decades of Latour; 1957, 1966, 1970, 1983, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1996, 2001. It was the best tasting I ever had, as the king of Bordeaux shows nothing but consistency, good or bad vintage. I cannot find a single reason to hate Latour at all, I buy Latour without looking at vintages at all. KING OF BORDEAUX, period.

Had a vertical Latour tasting. Tidying my notes here. Here is the vintage & consensus ranking in ascending order: 83 (last), 96, 66, 95, 57, 70, 90, 01, 89 (first). 9 attendees voted for these 9 btls, so it's a fair judgment. This vintage is known to be a weak but it still did very well at #5 although I personally feels that it was weak.
