While this was no match to the Borgogno Barolo 1958 that I just posted, if it was served with no comparison, it would have easily been one of the best.
Rich medicinal nose, coupled with ripe cherries, very developed nose, can't improve any further. Palate was extreme sour plums, tending towards Sherry Port as well as aged tea leaves. A good, but not great, Barolo.
