For Piedmont, you need to look forward to the vintage 1958, it was one of the best vintages for the last 50+ years. This Borgogno was easily the best in a flight of 4.
The beauty of this vintage lies in the elegance of the wine. It was truly at its best stage of elegance, not showing a sign of age. In addition, it was nice, pleasant and beautifully made. No argument that Piedmont also made really great wines that aged well after decades. Told it was decanted for an unbelievable 4 hours!
