1959 Joseph Drouhin Marquis de Laguchie Montrachet Grand Cru
The oldest white I ever had, a totally different experience! White this old has to be prepared for some oxidation no matter how well stored. This one is no difference on the nose, along with extremely dry honeycomb. We get loads of barley and chrysanthemums on the palette, along with Chinese soup winter melon soup with pork bones! It's really like a comfort drink to me (think about chicken soup for the soul), very warm, very homely.
