1959 Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Grand Cru Marquis de Laguiche
UNREAL
I had many bottles of this wine as I bought a case of it, this was the best bottle I've ever came across, and it was superb. My notes were equally mind blowing.
Nose: wet wood, slight orange, orange peel, caramel, morphed into latte and mocha, bouquet kept evolving.
Palate of butter with great fresh acidity (given that it's 57 years old!), extremely thick and lush, turned strong coffee after a while, then butterscotch, deep and rich. Our local Master of Wine declared his white wine of the year!
