1961 Brane Cantenac Margaux

INTOXICATING FRAGRANCE
Margaux appellation was famous for it's wines fragrance, although my experience was that it doesn't surface very much during young age. You may get some cheap perfume nose for young bottles, till you try this 56 years old bottle, you'll probably throw away all your perfume. It just filled the room with it's dry potpourri floral fragrance, along with some dried summer flowers as companion, and some aged mushrooms. Palate was rich, deep and elegant, so easy to drink!

54 YEARS AGO BRANE CANTENAC WAS GREAT!
Unfortunately Brane Cantenac nowadays don't have the reputation to be a second growth anymore, hardly even qualify for a classified growth! I was saddened coz I just tasted an amazing 61 today! What a nose! Extremely fragrant and floral on the nose, coupled with a full closet of old leather jackets. The palette was singing. It was so pleasant, so elegant like a very matured but elegant lady serving you happily. So don't look down on this label please.
