1961 Clos Fourtet Premier Cru Grand Cru Classe

Another magnum of a precious bottle with the cork dropped into the bottle, for god knows how long. But unlike the previous 2 lucky events, this bottle was almost dead on arrival.
Nose was ok for a while before turning soy sauce. Wine color was dark amber with cloudy texture. Palate totally denominated by sour grapes only, no fruits existed. This time the nickel foil didn’t do the magic of holding the content intact. Sad as I loved the great vintage of 61 from St Emilion....
