1964 Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva
SINGING STRAWBERRIES The failure of Vina Tondonia 64 on my previous post makes this bottle looks like a hero. A very addictive nose, I keep screaming strawberries, strawberries and strawberries, very fresh. The bottle condition was really great, in excellent shape. Again body was screaming strawberries all over. Served blind, I cast my vote as a definitive burgundy, second choice to be Barolo but quite unlikely. So I was really shocked to find Rioja possessing such character!
