Aged wines had the largest variations in terms of content. Like this Pichon Lalande 64 I just had a bottle 3 months ago, was vastly different from tonight's bottle, despite the fact that it came from the same case.
Slightly corked, maderized but also still fragrant on the nose. Strong medicinal palette, very light and dry, pleasant and smooth.
What happened? Well, wines are natural products that had a life to itself. This case there may be cork infection or TCA taint.
