1966 Brane Cantenac Margaux
PERFUME
Ch Margaux please step aside, it was totally no match to this second growth from Margaux appellation, totally under rated. I now swear by Brane Cantenac as one of the best Margaux wines in the 60s, beating Ch Margaux by a mile.
When I uncork this bottle this afternoon, the killer perfume from the wine almost filled the room. Nose was totally undisputed queen of fragrance. Content was decent too, although light body like most Margaux wines, it proved itself that it can age exceptionally well.
