1966 LIKE A 1985 ...
Amazing depth and complexity. This 1966 wine performed like a 1985 wine. Beefy fruits, checked. Tannins, checked. Acidity, checked. Complexity, checked. Apart from slightly green and stemmy notes, I seriously cannot find fault with this 49 year old bottle. Truly enjoyable, truly superb St Emilion wine. No wonder Canon la Gaffiliere has got huge followers up to this century. Great vineyard!
