1966 Lynch Bages Pauillac
A casual night with an uncasual result. I had some new wines arriving today, so I decided to test out the provenance. As usual, I picked the worst looking bottle, mid shoulder, torn and crumpled metal foil. Uncorking was easy with Durand, nose from the bottle immediately hit me with screaming mushrooms, ok, green light. Poured a glass and nose it again, some leather too. Palette was good, melted tannins, intense and concentrated fruits, very easy to drink, beautiful. This is the beauty of aged Bordeaux!
