1966 Pape Clement Pessac Leognan Graves Grand Classe
For a wine that’s older than me, it’s an honor to have a taste of it. Upon uncorking, I can smell some soy sauce which is a common characteristic for Bordeaux this aged, luckily upon pouring into decanter, the soy sauce smell disappeared immediately. It’s really difficult to imagine this wine is 56 years old, as my first impression is that the wine must be produced in the early 80s or mid-70s, judging by how alive it is. Bouquet is earthy and smoky. The content has amazing fleshy body with very deep and broad taste, the structure is amazing, the finishing is really long, amazing length!
