1967 Chateau Latour Pauillac
LATOUR NEVER FAILS!
67, a year before I was born, and a Bordeaux vintage that made wines for early consumption. Nobody would think that 49 years later, this wine was at its finest!
My second bottle in six months, this bottle condition was superior over the previous bottle I had. An extremely addictive nose, clinical and typical Pauillac of smoke and tobacco. It was a bold wine, rich and big, acting purely like the King of wines. There was a tinch of dilution but was quickly overshadowed by the power.

1967 WAS MADE FOR EARLY DRINKING... Till Latour came along. I have not come across any Bordeaux 67 wines that's still drinkable up to this date, except this King of Bordeaux, Latour 1967 and Queen of Bordeaux, Lafite. Surprisingly the nose was so muted, I barely get a faint vanilla smell, nothing of the typical muscular Pauillac. Extremely dry to start off with, showing multiple layers, structured, flavorful, typical deep, dark core of Latour characters showed. Very mellow. Outstanding wine!
