1967 Francesco Rinaldi & Figli Barolo DOCG
It is a harmonious wine with a full and dry taste.
Served blind, I thought it was really young as it still had a lot of fruits. It was tough venturing to Barolo region as this wine does not have the typical dark cherries character of Barolo wines. Nose with slight burnt wood, very faint, hardly can nose any serious fruits out of it. The body was light, faint and slightly woody as well. Who would think such character to be Nebbiolo grape variety? My guess was 62, 64 but I was not surprised to hear that it was a 67. Still full of life ahead!
