1969 Domaine Trapet Chambertin Grand Cru
CHEESE
1969 was a great burgundy vintage and I witnessed what a Grand Cru Chambertin can do to please my palate. I was a bit turned off by the smell though, full of Parmesan Cheese, Sous Bois, Blue Cheese, slightly funky and sweaty.
The palate was fun; elegant, charming, sweet prune, rich although slightly diluted, it truly reflected what a top level Grand Cru can represent when properly aged.
