1970 Vieux Chateau Certan Pomerol
HARD VINTAGE
Research shows that VCC admittedly said they had a hard time during the 70s vintage as it tended to be more masculine but in my opinion, they have still created a great wine! And in a recent blind tasting I participated in, it was voted as the wine of the night, and for good reason. It gave me dark cherry nose with earthy and oak notes, and hints of spice. This had the longest finish and felt really light on the palate. It had great balance with both acidity and tannin not overpowering.
