1971 Henri de Bahezre Pommard Epenots

I had a couple of 1971 burgundies before, and they consistently surprised on the upside. Critics have already said it’s just an average vintage, but I totally begged to differ! A solid nose, with super masculine style. Palate was amazing, initially I thought it was a Chambolle, later Vosne, nothing came close. The kind of richness was really atypical of burgundies.
