1976 Maison Leroy Auxey Duresses
MUSTY BUT BEAUTIFUL Maison Leroy is the negociant arm of Domaine Leroy, I think the Domaine does not exist 39 years ago (Lalou Bize Leroy still not at helm). I had many of these Leroy back in the 70s, always never fail to impress me. Despite a huge musty nose upon uncorking, we decided to decant it to blow off the musty nose. A sip and I was really enjoying the wine; full of elegance, very mellow and pleasant, not even a hint of arrogance. Tannins and acidity came into very well balanced stage. Perfect!
