1979 Clos Fourtet Premier Cru Grand Cru Classe
ANOTHER FLOATING CORK
Pulled out another bottle with the cork dropped into the bottle, again a magnum and sadly Clos Fourtet (read my previous report). They use cheap corks? Why both dropped cork coming from the same label?
However, this was drinking perfectly well, phew! Very matured fruity character, but was able to tell that it came from a weak vintage despite the charming fruits, as there’s a difficult to detect layer of woody style to it, just like Mouton Rothschild 79. My palate is sharp :(
