1981 Canon La Gaffeliere 1er Grand Cru Classe
1981 is a right bank vintage for Bordeaux. I drank Cheval Blanc Saint Emilion, Soutard and one Canon La Gaffeliere and I enjoyed all of them. Nose with some wet earth, wet fruit character. Palette is a bit dirty feeling, but the fruits are showing really well with very balanced acidity and fruits. I enjoyed the tranquility of the wine. Frankly this label is really under rated and selling too cheap. I think it's one of the better right bank Bordeaux wine.
