1981 Chateau Palmer Margaux
GREAT PALMER!
I have drank many vintages of Palmer except the 81, so I'm really glad I had a chance to taste this vintage today. And I have to admit it's one of the better Palmer vintages I liked, alongside the 78, 85, 89, 90.
The bouquet was explosive loads of flower fragrance, totally Margaux nose, along with it a bit woody. Enjoyed the nose.
Palate was very pleasant, with no trace of tannins, the wine drank so easily and extremely mellow. To my surprise, it was able to last an hour. 81 not so weak!
