1982 Chateau d'Issan Margaux
I tasted this wine blind. The initial nose set me back, so faint I could not smell any character, however as time goes by, it showed intense, bold fruits, and towards the end of the night, turned minty. Color was dark purple. I was hooked to the palette, good fruits with good weight, right amount of intensity, melted tannins. A very enjoyable wine during the tasting. It does surprised me that it turned out to be d'Issan although I correctly guess the vintage as 82. Worth the money, take it!
